The magnificent Mandarin Oriental in Knightsbridge, London played host to this glorious wedding. As you enter the hotel your senses are taken control of by the grandeur of the building and the beautifully scented candles burning throughout the lobby area. Take a left at the top of the main entrance stairs and you enter the Roseberry Rooms – comprising a seating room with sofas and chairs and a dining room that is later transformed into the dancing area for the wedding disco.
Emma and Chris are two wonderfully laid back people and they really wanted their wedding on New Year’s Eve so they could herald in 2012 as a new start together after a difficult year. It was a a real coming together of friends and family with a lot of love and joy in the room on the night. The best men speeches from Al and Simon were spot on with not a dry eye in the house at one stage (who won the bet btw) and some rather good photographs were put on display.
With the countdown clock running towards midnight on the screen the guests partyed on until the great crescendo of midnight welcomed in very ably by Al, one of the best men – then it was time to really party and party we did – until 2am when we left them screaming for more.
Thanks for an amazing time with an amazing group of people – I was really honoured to share this time with everybody and bring in the new year together!
Thanks too to Chris, Director of Events at the Mandarin Oriental, Tim and the rest of the team for a flawless display in how to run a wedding.
